3D node

Subdivide

Subdivision surface. Each level roughly quadruples the triangle count, so higher levels get expensive fast. Smooth controls how much it rounds corners.

The Subdivide node in Infinite, showing its inputs, controls and outputs.

What it does

Subdivide is a 3D node: it builds, changes or lights geometry that Render 3D turns into a picture. It takes 3D shape in and gives 3D shape out.

Try it

One level on a cube gives a soft pillow.

Controls

Every control with a range can be driven by a modulator, a note, an audio level or a sketch.
