Synths node
String
A physically modelled string: every note is a waveguide string tuned exactly to its pitch, on a shared wooden body. The exciter plucks it, bows it (the bow keeps it sounding while the note is held) or strikes it with a felt hammer that gets brighter the harder you hit. Position is where along the string it is excited.

What it does
String is a synth: it turns notes into sound. It takes notes in and gives audio out.
Try it
Switch the exciter to bow and hold a chord for a sustained cello pad.

Every control with a range can be driven by a modulator, a note, an audio level or a sketch.
