Synths node

Granular

A real-time granular synthesizer that shreds a loaded or recorded sample into micro-grains and re-stitches them, with grain length, density, scan speed/position (with freeze), and stochastic randomization on position, length, pitch, and pan.

What it does

Granular is a synth: it turns notes into sound. It takes audio in and gives audio out.

Try it

Load a field recording, freeze the scan, and crank the position/pitch randomization for a shimmering granular cloud from a single still moment.
