Prediction node

Predictive Rhythm

Works like Predictive Notes, but learns pitch as a distance from a root note instead of absolute pitches. What comes back is a repeating pattern anchored on one note with the occasional deviation, such as C2 C2 C2 D3 C2 C2 C2. Root is found automatically, and changing it afterwards transposes the whole pattern without relearning.

The Predictive Rhythm node in Infinite, showing its inputs, controls and outputs.

What it does

Predictive Rhythm is a prediction node: it guesses where a value or a phrase goes next and drifts around that guess. It takes notes in and gives notes out.

Try it

Play a bass riff, Learn it, then change Root to move the pattern up a fifth.
