Notes node

Gate

Controls how long each note rings out with a single hold-time knob. At 0 it's a passthrough; above 0 it ignores the real note-off and schedules its own fixed duration for every note.

The Gate node in Infinite, showing its inputs, controls and outputs.

What it does

Gate is a note node: it makes, filters or changes notes before a synth plays them. It takes notes in and gives notes out.

Try it

Set a short fixed hold time to turn held chords into a clean, staccato pattern.
