Compositing node

Null

A zero-cost reroute point: it simply reports whatever texture is plugged into it as its own output, without rendering anything itself. Meant purely for tidying up cable runs in a busy patch.

The Null node in Infinite, showing its inputs, controls and outputs.

What it does

Null is a compositing node: it layers, masks and routes pictures. It takes picture in and gives picture out.

Try it

Insert one at a junction where several cables cross so the wiring reads cleanly instead of crisscrossing.
