Modulators node

Path

Moves a point along a shape over time — Circle, Line, Figure Eight, Helix, Spiral, or Lissajous — outputting separate X, Y, Z, and progress channels, tempo-synced by default.

The Path node in Infinite, showing its inputs, controls and outputs.

What it does

Path is a modulator: it makes a moving value that can drive any control on the canvas. It takes 3D shape in and gives control signal out.

Try it

Send the X and Y outputs to a Geometry node's position to orbit an object in a circle.

Inputs and outputs

Inputs

  • 3D shape curve
  • 3D shape geo

Outputs

  • control signal x
  • control signal y
  • control signal z
  • control signal t

Controls

Every control with a range can be driven by a modulator, a note, an audio level or a sketch.
