Modulators node
Constant
Outputs one fixed, unmoving value — exists because math-utility nodes only take other modulators as input, so this supplies a literal number.

What it does
Constant is a modulator: it makes a moving value that can drive any control on the canvas. It has no input and gives control signal out, so it starts a chain.
Try it
Use it as a fixed offset added to an LFO to keep a modulation from ever reaching zero.

Inputs and outputs
Inputs
- None. It starts a chain.
Outputs
- control signal out
Controls
Every control with a range can be driven by a modulator, a note, an audio level or a sketch.
| Control | Range or options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| value | 0 to 1 | 0.5 |
Example patch
This patch wires Constant to what it needs and shows the result. Download it, then use File, Open in Infinite, or read it here: it is plain text.
