Pattern

A 16-step sequencer whose value steps through hand-set slots once per set beat length, looping back to the start, with a smoothing option to ease between adjacent steps instead of jumping.

What it does

Pattern is a modulator: it makes a moving value that can drive any control on the canvas. It has no input and gives control signal out, so it starts a chain.

Try it

Draw a rising-then-falling step shape and route it into a filter cutoff for a rhythmic sweep locked to the beat.
